Founded in 1978 on little more than dreams and hard work, Forever Living is now a multi-billion dollar company, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, that manufactures and sells dozens of wellness and beauty products. For years, Rex searched for a way to obtain these two things, but wasn’t satisfied with anything he found. So in 1978, he invited 43 people to attend the first Forever Living Products meeting in Tempe, Arizona, where he unveiled a customized plan that would provide him—and anyone else—with better health and financial freedom.

Rex proposed a very simple business idea to his closest family and friends. Offer consumable products to the public that are proven to promote lasting wellness and health—and do it in a personal way. Instead of dumping big bucks into traditional advertising, compensate anyone willing to share these products with their family and friends.

When Rex Maughan created Forever Living Products, he knew the success of the company depended heavily on two things—offering quality products at affordable prices and providing a reliable, profitable business opportunity to people like you.

Since any business relies on a network of suppliers, manufacturers, and Distributors, one hiccup in this supply chain affects the final product. If a supplier raises their prices, Forever Living would either be forced to raise their prices or suffer considerable losses.

Rex knew it wasn’t in the best interest of Forever Living to rely on other third-party vendors to deliver the kind of quality he demanded. So, Forever Living secured its own aloe plantations, manufacturing and packaging plants, and storage facilities, eliminating the need for third-party vendors.

Vision and Heart

At the head of Forever Living Products is Rex Maughan. A self-made man with the drive and vision to succeed, Rex created and continues to lead a company like no other on earth—a company that changes lives through its amazing products and stable business opportunity.

Education and Experience

After graduating from The Arizona State University's School of Business, Rex expanded his business horizons working as General Manager for the Mayer Central Building, as Vice President of the Del Webb Corporation, and Executive Vice President of Del E. Webb Realty & Management Company.

Rex is a Certified Property Manager, and he has completed extensive graduate work in areas such as real estate, taxation, auditing, and consolidation and mergers. He was honored with the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from Arizona State University, honoris causus, in recognition of his excellent business accomplishments and significant contributions to society.

Charity Work

From a young age, Rex learned the value of service and giving. As a young man, he spent two years in the South Pacific serving the people of the Samoan Islands. He fell in love with the people and their culture.
Rex has since founded numerous schools, as well as, the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum to honor the author who also fell in love with the Samoan Islands and made his home there. Rex has worked to preserve Stevenson’s plantation and personal effects.

The Samoan people deeply honored Rex by awarding him the High Chief title of 'Tilafaiga' for his efforts to save the rainforests.

Rex has donated generously to the Foundation for Burns and Trauma, which serves the residents of Arizona and surrounding states with the Smoke Alarm Installation Program, Camp Courage, and Forever Courage House. Forever Living Products was recognized for its charitable donations equaling one million dollars—the largest amount the Foundation has ever received.

Forever Giving was founded in 2009 to provide a way for customers and Distributors to donate funds to global improvement. It partners with charitable organizations globally to fight against poverty, hunger, and the lack of medical services available for children. The foundation also supports relief efforts in response to natural disasters.

Rex has a big heart and truly cares for people—especially his employees, Distributors, and community. Rex and his wife Ruth see this charity work as their greatest accomplishment.

Rex’s passion inspired him to found Forever Living Products in 1978. He has a degree in Business from Arizona State University and over 40 years of practical experience and leadership. His vision has taken Forever Living Products from a smart idea to a worldwide enterprise that enhances the lives of millions.

Gregg Maughan
President

The youngest son of Rex Maughan, Gregg leads Forever Living Products as the President. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and is fluent in Spanish. He began his career with Forever Living Products 20 years ago when he started at an entry-level position processing orders. He has worked in just about every department and has proven that he has the dedication and tenacity to continue Forever Living’s legacy of stability, growth, and helping others.
